Before completing your order at choicefurniture.com.sg, please carefully read these legal conditions of supply (these Sale Terms) and the Website Terms of Use. THE WEBSITE TERMS OF USE AND THESE SALES TERMS FORM A LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND 1ST CHOICE FURNITURE SUPERSTORE PTE. LTD. (CHOICE FURNITURE, WE, US OR OUR) WHEN YOU PURCHASE PRODUCTS FROM THE WEBSITE (THE PRODUCTS). THE CONTRACT BETWEEN YOU AND CHOICE FURNITURE IS FORMED WHEN WE SEND YOU AN ORDER CONFIRMATION VIA E-MAIL.

You are encouraged to save and print these Sales Terms for future reference. Choice Furniture may also keep an electronic record of your acceptance of these Sales Terms.

The products available at the Website are available for purchase only by consumers who are at least 18 years of age. If you aren’t of age, please ask your parent or guardian to review these Sales Terms and place the order for you.

If you are buying products for a business or on behalf of a business, please contact Choice Furniture via the Contact page. The product warranties given under these Sales Terms do not apply to any:

  • corporate purchases;

  • products that are acquired for commercial purposes; or

  • any gift redemptions.

For a gift redemption, please refer to the business from whom you obtained your vouchers or gift codes for the terms and conditions governing your gift redemption.

1. Information about Choice Furniture

2. Website presentation

We work hard to make sure that the website content is correct at all times. However, it is inevitable that mistakes will occur. We may make a mistake in a product description or fail to update the price every once in a while. We reserve the right to correct our mistakes, errors or omissions by either cancelling your order or offering you alternative options. If a pricing error is obvious, you agree that we don’t have to sell you the Products at the incorrect (lower) price. You will always have the right to cancel your order after we alert you of our mistake.

Due to technology limitations and the use of manual assembly for some parts of our products, you should be aware that actual products may vary slightly from their images in the online store. However, these variations should not be major.

The Online Store is solely for the promotion of our Products in Singapore. Our Products are intended to comply with Singapore-specific laws and regulations. If you are placing an order on the Online Store from a country outside of Singapore, the Products may not comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your country.

All products displayed at the Online Store are subject to availability and we reserve the right to remove or amend the availability of a Product from the Online Store at any time or to otherwise limit the products that each order, account, credit card, person or household can buy. We also reserve the right to revise the pricing of any Product on the Online Store at any time.

3. Your rights as a consumer

Product Warranty

Choice Furniture provides a generous manufacturer’s warranty. Please note that our manufacturer’s warranty is in addition to, and does not replace, any statutory rights you may have as a consumer under the Sales of Goods Act (Cap. 393).

Should you find that a Product is faulty or defective, you have the right to return it to us to be repaired, replaced or refunded. Please review our manufacturer’s warranty for more details.

Such information includes your name, shipping address, billing address and payment information (Buyer Information). By submitting the Buyer Information, you represent to us that the information you have provided is true, valid, complete and up-to-date in all respects and that you have not entered the information of another person who has not given you any authority to act on such other person’s behalf.

You agree that Choice Furniture may collect, store, secure, use, disclose, retain and maintain the Buyer Information in accordance with the privacy practices described in the Privacy Notice. If you have entered the Buyer Information on behalf of another individual, you represent that such individual has given you the consent to transfer her or his personal information to Choice Furniture and that such individual agrees to Choice Furniture’s processing of their information in accordance with the privacy practices described in the Privacy Notice.

4. What happens after you have placed your order?

Please take the time to ensure the accuracy of your order before completing your payment. Once you click on the ‘Pay Now’ button or its equivalent, you will have made a binding and irrevocable offer to buy the Products from Choice Furniture.

After you have placed your order, we will verify your payment before issuing an order confirmation to you. As part of Choice Furniture’s payment processing protocol, we may collect additional information about you, directly or through third-party providers, for security and anti-fraud purposes.

Once we have successfully verified your payment, we will debit your selected payment method. Please note that we will process your payment at the time of placing the order. If you are paying by instalments, your payment will be processed as described in Section 6 (Payment) below.

When the Products are ready to be shipped out, we will send a shipment notification to the contact details you provided during checkout. The shipment notice will include an estimated delivery date.

We allow our customers to place advance orders for specific goods (each, a Pre-Order). To successfully place a Pre-Order, you must pay for the goods in advance. Your payment will be processed at the time of placing the Pre-Order and secures your position on the waitlist for these Products. We will send you confirmation of shipment for your Pre-Order once the delivery dates have been confirmed and tracking details are available. 

A “Custom Order” is defined as any product that is made-to-order or any product that was not in stock and readily available to ship at the time of purchase. Custom orders are deemed final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds.

Full payment is required for custom orders. Once production has commenced, all production costs have been incurred. Therefore, cancellation is no longer possible, and the custom order cannot be refunded. The estimated lead time for custom orders is 8-12 weeks, excluding weekends and holidays.

If your payment is not processed as described in Section 6 (Payment), or if your payment does not pass our security checks, we will reject your order. In some cases, this can happen after you received an order confirmation. If your order is rejected, the sales contract between you and Choice Furniture is cancelled without any liability to either you or us.

Choice Furniture may reject any order for any legitimate reason. Where that is the case, we will let you know via e-mail and will refund you the full amount that you have paid (if any).

5. Payment

Credit, Debit Cards and Electronic Accounts

By submitting an order and providing us with your payment details at checkout, you authorise us (acting by our payment processor) to charge the relevant account to take payment for your order at the time of placing the order. Choice Furniture will not be responsible for any losses you may suffer if the payment method you use to pay for an order does not have sufficient funds to cover all costs of that order.

Instalment Payments

When you select to pay in instalments, depending on the third-party provider you select at checkout, you may be paying in one of the following ways:

  • Option 1 (hoolah): hoolah is a third party we have engaged to provide deferred payment financial product offerings to our customers. When you select hoolah on the Payments page, you will be redirected to hoolah platform where hoolah may collect additional information from you to assess your credit-worthiness for the benefit of Choice Furniture. If your credit is assessed to meet certain criteria, Choice Furniture will enter into a deferred payment arrangement for the supply of the Products to you. Concurrently, Choice Furniture will transfer your sales contract with us for the deferred payment transaction to hoolah. hoolah’s systems may place a “hold” on your credit card, which may reduce the credit limit available to you until you have completed all of your instalment payments. You will pay your instalment payments directly to hoolah, who will charge your credit card for your instalment sums according to the agreed payment schedule.

  • Option 2 (Grab): When you select the “Grab” logo on the Payment’s page, you may be directed either to the mobile application supplied to you by GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. (Grab) or any other relevant platform or electronic communication (collectively, the Grab Platform). While you are the Grab Platform, Grab may offer you several payment options, including the option to pay on a deferred basis in accordance with the payment schedule notified to you through the Grab Platform. To do so, you may select, where available, either the "PayLater Postpaid" for single payment service (PayLater Postpaid) or “PayLater Instalment” for equal instalment payments service (Paylater Instalments, and together with the PayLater Postpaid service, the PayLater Services). Should you select any of the PayLater Services, we will offer to you deferred payment terms such that you shall only be obliged to pay, on an interest-free basis the price of the order, less all or part of the price of the order using an e-gift card, wallet credit or a promotional voucher, where applicable (including delivery costs, where applicable) (such order amount, the Sale Amount) by either:

  • in respect of PayLater Postpaid, the date falling on the 7th day of the subsequent month after the month in which a successful payment is submitted by you in respect of an order (the PayLater Postpaid Payment Deadline); or

  • in respect of PayLater Instalment, to the extent available either in (A) equal monthly instalment payments, in the frequency as notified to you through the Grab Platform, with the first monthly instalment due to be paid on the date falling one month from the date of the payment transaction and/or (B) equal instalment payments, in the frequency as notified to you through the Grab Platform, with the first instalment payment being payable at the time of purchase and the remaining instalments being due on the date falling in the subsequent months from the date of the payment transaction respectively. The scheduled payment dates shall be notified to you through the Grab Platform (the PayLater Instalment Payment Deadlines).

The full Sale Amount or (where the first instalment payment is required to be paid at the time of purchase) the Sale Amount less the first instalment payment, shall in each case be referred to as the Deferred Sale Amount.

Where you have selected the "PayLater Postpaid" or “PayLater Instalment” service (where available), you agree that:

  • we may sell and assign such Deferred Sale Amount due from you to GFin Services (S) Pte. Ltd. (GFin), any of its affiliate companies, or such other third party as we may approve. You will be notified upon such assignment whereupon you shall be required to pay such assignee the Deferred Sale Amount (if applicable) under the same payment terms made available to you by us under the "PayLater Postpaid" or “PayLater Instalment” service;

  • we may provide your personal information, including but not limited to your name and contact information, to our assignee to facilitate payment by you to our assignee; and

  • if you fail to make eventual payment under the "PayLater Postpaid" or “PayLater Instalment” service to our assignee by the PayLater Postpaid Payment Deadline or PayLater Instalment Payment Deadlines respectively, our assignee and/or any person acting on our or their behalf (including us or its affiliate companies) may take such steps as are necessary to enforce payment by you.

    For the avoidance of doubt, the "PayLater Postpaid" or “PayLater Instalment” service is made available to you wholly on a discretionary basis and there is no guarantee that any selection of the "PayLater Postpaid" or “PayLater Instalment” service will be successfully approved or processed.

    If there is any refund or reduction in respect of any Sale Amount, we have the right to allocate the refund or reduction to any part of that Sale Amount, any e-gift card or voucher, or (in respect of PayLater Instalment) any instalment payment (including where applicable, the first instalment payment paid at the time of purchase), in such order and manner as we may determine in our absolute discretion.

6. Delivery and delivery charges

There may be limits to where Choice Furniture can ship the Products. If your shipping address is outside of our delivery zone, we will let you know before you place the order and you will not be able to proceed to checkout.

The estimated shipment arrival date will be included in the shipment confirmation sent to you. Sometimes, an event beyond the control of Choice Furniture may delay the shipment of your order. Should that happen, you will receive an updated delivery date as soon as it is available. Please note that any estimated delivery dates displayed on the Online Store, or in any order confirmation e-mail, are simply estimates – they do not represent a guarantee that the Products will arrive by that delivery estimate.

Delivery is completed when the Products reach the shipping address you provided to us at the time of placing the order. Once delivered, the Products are your responsibility.

In the event that access to the lift is not possible during delivery in a multi-storied complex, the next course of action will be climbing flights of stairs to reach the destination. After climbing two sets of stairs (equivalent to two storeys), a surcharge of S$20.00 per additional storey climbed will apply.

*Additional Surcharge of $30 apply to Sentosa & Tuas Area

*A Transportation fee of $30 per trip apply for any on-site servicing or exchange.

*Free Delivery to HDB, other as listed (condo/mall/cluster house)

For deliveries made to landed estates, the first flight of stairs climbed will be free of charge. A surcharge of S$20.00 will be incurred for each subsequent flight of stairs traveled.

7. Prices and promotions

Unless stated otherwise, prices shown in the Online Store include goods and services tax (GST) at the current rate. Choice Furniture will display GST charges that are included in the Product prices during the checkout process. You are responsible for paying all other taxes, levies or duties imposed in connection with your purchase of products from the Online Store. To the extent we are obligated to collect any such additional taxes, the applicable tax will be added to the total price at checkout.

We may adjust Product prices from time to time. Changes in price will not affect any order for which Choice Furniture has issued an order confirmation.

We run many promotions in the Online Store and reserve the right to alter the terms or duration of any promotion.

8. Limitations to Choice Furniture’s liability to you

If we fail to comply with these Sales Terms, we are only responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaching these Sales Terms or failing to act with reasonable care and skill. Choice Furniture is not responsible for any loss or damage that is not foreseeable. Loss or damage is foreseeable if it is either obvious that it will happen or if, at the time these Sales Terms are entered into, both we and you knew it might happen.

We supply the Products solely for domestic or private use. You agree not to use a Product for any commercial, business or resale purpose, and should you do so, we will not be liable for any economic loss you may suffer. Examples are loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. In no event will Choice Furniture be liable for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Sales Terms is meant to exclude or limit in any way Choice Furniture’s liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so, including for the following:

  • death or personal injury resulting from our negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;

  • defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987; and

  • any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by Singapore law.

    Subject to the above, Choice Furniture’s liability to you under these Sales Terms will not exceed:

  • for Product purchases, the value of the Product(s) purchased by you which are the subject of the claim

9. Events outside Choice Furniture’s control

We won’t be liable for delays or failures to perform our obligations due to events outside our reasonable control. Examples of these events include labour disputes, industrial action, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat of terrorist attack, war or threat or preparation for war, acts of God, epidemics or pandemics, supply chain disruptions, malicious damage, accidents, failure of public or private telecommunications networks, the impossibility of the use of shipping, aircraft, motor transport or other means of public or private transport or compliance with any laws or government orders.

If an event outside of our reasonable control takes place that affects our performance of our obligations to you:

a. we will let you know as soon as reasonably possible; and

b. our obligations are suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of such an event.

Where the event affects our delivery of Products to you, we will arrange a new delivery date with you after the event is over.

10. Customer service / Complaints handling

Choice Furniture will do its best to resolve any complaints or disputes relating to Product purchases or these Sales Terms.

11. Changes to these Sales Terms

We may revise these Sales Terms from time to time. Any revisions to these Sales Terms will be reflected on this page. If the revisions are material and may affect you adversely, we will notify you of these changes via e-mail if we have your e-mail address.

The Sales Terms in force at the time you place your order serve as the transaction contract between Choice Furniture and you and govern our supply of the Products to you. Before your next transaction, we may have changed the Sales Terms without letting you know. Please review these Sales Terms each time you visit the SG Store.

12. Other important terms

We may transfer its rights and obligations under a sales contract to another organisation. Such a transfer won't affect your rights or our obligations under these Sales Terms.

The sales contract is between you and Choice Furniture. No other person shall have any right to enforce any of its terms.

Each of the paragraphs of these Sales Terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.

If we fail to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these Sales Terms, or if we delay enforcing our rights, that will not mean that we have waived our rights against you. You must continue to perform your obligations even under these circumstances. If we waive a default by you, we will only do so in writing. Just because we waived your default once does not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

These Sales Terms are governed by Singapore law.
